Sport through play, following instructions, and teamwork can positively help children develop social skills and morality.
Regarding social skills, cooperation and communication are worked on to achieve a common goal with your team, as well as positive interpersonal relationships of respect and resilience in the face of a bad result. It is important to teach that the expected result is not always achieved, however with persistence and training hard you can get a better result since there is always the possibility to try again.
In addition to social skills, they work on their morality, important values such as honesty, responsibility, hard work, following the rules and respecting the decisions of the authorities as referees/coaches. The sense of fair play that refers to playing with integrity and sports ethics in a fraternal manner towards the opponents is also developed.
Sport, in addition to being fun and beneficial for health, can also be of great help in the education of children, creating important values in them and providing lessons in coexistence and effort that will be very useful throughout their lives.
